After much consideration (and not a small amount of neglect), I'm retiring the _s LESS theme that I forked from _s years ago. LESS was hot when I forked _s and created this theme and I was actively pushing for it at the agency I was work on. But in the last 4 years, SCSS and Post CSS have risen to almost completely replace LESS. I haven't used LESS in years. Thank you to all those who encouraged me and contributed!

I’m very excited to announce the first version of the LESS version of Automattic’s _s (Underscores).  While the theme was written with CSS that was eventually translated to SASS, a LESS version didn’t seem to be available.  I use LESS at work and a lot of the time in my personal coding adventures and have really wished for a LESS version.  So instead of wishing I sat down and converted the SASS version to a LESS version.

I’d love to hear your thoughts and also answer any questions or issues that arise.  I’d also love to see some pull requests that make efficiency changes to my code as it is still a very early version of the port.

I’m excited to starting using this starter theme with LESS baked in on all my 2015 projects!

So go ahead and check it out on Github and tweet your thoughts to me @mrpritchett.
